Copyright and DMCA

This page explains what belongs to us, what belongs to you, and how our guides may be used. It also sets out how to send us a copyright takedown notice, and how to answer one.

Last updated 18 September 2026 · Register Quick LLC is a service of Quick LLC · All policies

1. What we own and what you own

The site belongs to Quick LLC or to the people who licensed parts of it to us: the design, the software behind it, the Register Quick LLC name and logo, the guides, the comparison pages, and the fee and deadline tables we compile and keep current. Compiling public information takes work, and the compilation is protected even where individual facts are not.

Your material stays yours. The information you enter, the documents you upload and the formation documents we produce for your company belong to you. We use them only to provide the service, as described in our terms of service. Nothing on this page gives us a claim over them.

2. How you may use our content

You may quote a short extract from a guide or a comparison page, in a post, a report or a client email, as long as you say it came from Register Quick LLC and link to the page you took it from. You do not need to ask us first.

You may not, without our written permission:

  • republish a guide in full, or a substantial part of one, anywhere;
  • copy our state fee tables, deadline tables or pricing data into another product, dataset or tool;
  • mirror the site, or reproduce its structure and content to build a competing service;
  • use our content as training data for a machine-learning model.

If you want to do any of these, ask. Write to [email protected] and say what you want to use and where it will appear — we would rather license something properly than find it copied.

3. Other companies' names and logos

Names, logos and product names belonging to other companies are their trademarks. We use them in two places: to show which services and tools we work with, and on our comparison pages, to compare facts those companies publish themselves. Neither use implies endorsement, affiliation or a partnership. If you own a mark and think we have used it in a way that suggests otherwise, section 9 explains how to tell us.

Licences for the photographs, video, typeface and icons on this site are listed on our credits page.

4. Telling us about copyright infringement

We respect copyright and we expect the people who use our service to do the same. If material on Register Quick LLC infringes a copyright you own or are authorised to act for, send us a written notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. §512. We act on notices that contain the elements in section 5 — a notice missing them may not be legally effective, and we may ask you to send a corrected one.

5. What a takedown notice must contain

  • Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed. If several works are covered by one notice, a representative list of them.
  • Identification of the material you say is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it — give the full URL of each page, not just the name of the site.
  • Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address, so that we and the person who posted the material can contact you.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and — under penalty of perjury — that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

6. Where to send a notice

Send notices by email to [email protected] with “DMCA notice” in the subject line, or by post to Quick LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA.

We should be straightforward about one thing. We have not designated an agent to receive copyright notices with the United States Copyright Office. Send your notice to the email address or the postal address above and it will reach us and be acted on. We will update this page if that changes.

7. What we do when we receive a notice

We review the notice. Where we conclude the material infringes, we remove it or disable access to it, and we do that promptly rather than waiting for a dispute to be settled. We then notify the customer or author who posted it, and give them a copy of your notice, including the contact details in it — so send a notice only if you are willing for the other side to see who sent it. Removing material is not a finding that anyone acted badly; it is the step the statute expects us to take while the two of you sort it out.

8. Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, or that the use was authorised or permitted by law, you can send a counter-notice to [email protected]. It must contain:

  • your physical or electronic signature;
  • identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal;
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  • your name, postal address and telephone number;
  • a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district where you live, or — if you are outside the United States — for any district in which we may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.

We pass a valid counter-notice to the complainant. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the activity, we may restore the material, usually between 10 and 14 business days after we forward the counter-notice.

9. Repeat infringers, false notices and trademarks

Repeat infringers. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances, as the statute requires. What counts depends on the pattern, not on a fixed number of notices.

False notices carry a real cost. Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), anyone who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation that material is infringing — or that it was removed by mistake — can be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees. Do not use a takedown notice to remove a comparison you dislike or a competitor's lawful commentary. Consider whether the use is fair use before you send one, and take advice if you are unsure.

Trademark and brand complaints. The process above is for copyright. If your complaint is about a trademark, a brand name or a logo, email [email protected] with “Trademark complaint” in the subject line. Tell us the mark, the registration number and jurisdiction if it is registered, the exact page and wording you object to, and what you would like changed. We handle these case by case.
