How much does LegalZoom cost over two years for a Wyoming LLC?

Here is what a founder outside the US pays in the first two years for a single-member Wyoming LLC: formation, two years of plan or registered agent fees, and Wyoming's first yearly report fee. For LegalZoom we show Pro, and Basic with its EIN service, each with the registered agent. Every column uses Wyoming's standard online filing fee.

Two-year cost for a single-member Wyoming LLC, prices as of September 2026

LegalZoom Pro with its registered agent comes to $910 over two years, $49 more than our Starter plan. Basic with the $79 EIN service and the agent comes to $740, without an operating agreement. In both, the registered agent is the largest yearly cost.

For a Wyoming LLC, LegalZoom's automatic annual report filing isn't available, so you'd file the report yourself or ask about its one-off filing at $99 plus the state fee. Our Starter files it for you. If you use one of LegalZoom's founder pages instead, the LLC is formed in Delaware, where the yearly tax is $400: Pro with the agent comes to $1,257 over two years, against $1,208 on our Starter in Delaware. Wyoming vs Delaware explains the difference.

Can LegalZoom get an EIN without an SSN?

LegalZoom Pro and Premium include an EIN, the IRS's tax ID for businesses, and its standalone EIN service is $79. Its founder pages for the UK, Australia, Brazil and the Philippines say it files Form SS-4 "without the need for a Social Security Number" for Pro and Premium customers, and estimate 2โ€“4 weeks for the EIN, registered agent and US address step.

Those pages form the LLC in Delaware. LegalZoom's main LLC and EIN pages don't say whether its EIN service works without an SSN in other cases, and its India page covers general US legal help. If you're in India or want a Wyoming LLC, ask LegalZoom how your EIN will be handled before you order.

On our Starter plan, we prepare and file Form SS-4 for you in any state when you have no SSN or ITIN. On Pro, we apply by phone as your designee, the person you authorize on the form to deal with the IRS. See how to get an EIN without an SSN and forming a US LLC from India.

Subscriptions and add-ons to watch with LegalZoom

LegalZoom's package is paid up front, and several of its services then renew automatically:

  • Registered agent: $249 a year. LegalZoom says it renews at the purchase rate each year until you cancel, and that the renewal rate can change.
  • Business Attorney Plan: 30 days included with Pro and Premium, then $49 a month.
  • LZ Books: 180 days included with Premium, then $9.99 a month.
  • Compliance Filings: $199 a year, renewing automatically, with government filing fees extra. Automatic annual report filing excludes Wyoming.
  • Founder-page extras: a US mailing address in Delaware is $29 a month.

With us, Starter renews at $349 a year and keeps the registered agent, US business address, mail scanning and annual report filing. State fees are passed through at cost. Compare plans on our pricing page, and see what's due each year in the LLC annual compliance checklist.

Does LegalZoom prepare Form 5472?

LegalZoom doesn't name it. Its $199-a-year Compliance Filings plan lists "business taxes prepared by independent tax professionals" without saying which returns, and its founder pages describe Form 5472 as a yearly obligation without offering to file it. Ask which forms are covered before you rely on it.

A US single-member LLC owned by a non-US person generally files Form 5472 with a pro forma Form 1120 for each year it has reportable transactions with its owner. Money you put in or take out counts, including formation costs, so it can apply in a year with no income. The IRS penalty for not filing is $25,000. Source: IRS instructions for Form 5472.

Our Pro plan includes Form 5472 and the pro forma 1120, prepared by our US tax partner, for $999 a year. We're not a CPA firm, so confirm your own filing requirements with a US CPA. Our Form 5472 guide explains the rules.

Which should you choose?

  • You want ongoing access to attorneys: LegalZoom Pro or Premium, keeping the attorney plan after its 30 days.
  • You're in the UK, Australia, Brazil or the Philippines and want a Delaware LLC: LegalZoom's founder pages include an EIN without an SSN and bank setup help in Pro.
  • You're in India, or want a Wyoming LLC with the annual report filed for you: our Starter plan.
  • Form 5472, the annual report and a US address in one plan: our Pro plan.
  • An accountant or CA/CS firm forming companies for clients: our white-label partner plans; LegalZoom's partner program pays commissions instead.

Frequently asked questions

How much does LegalZoom charge to form an LLC?
As of September 2026, LegalZoom's LLC packages are Basic ($0), Pro ($249) and Premium ($299), plus state filing fees. Its registered agent is $249 a year on top. Pro and Premium include 30 days of its attorney plan, which costs $49 a month after that unless you cancel.
Does LegalZoom include a registered agent with its LLC packages?
No. LegalZoom sells registered agent service separately for $249 a year, and it renews automatically at the purchase rate until you cancel. Every LLC needs a registered agent in its state, so include it when you compare prices. Our Starter plan includes one for as long as your plan is active.
Can LegalZoom form an LLC for someone outside the US?
Yes. LegalZoom runs founder pages for the UK, Australia, Brazil and the Philippines that form a Delaware LLC and include an EIN without an SSN in Pro and Premium. We didn't find an equivalent page for India; LegalZoom's India page covers general US legal help. Ask LegalZoom about your country and state before you order.
Will LegalZoom file my Wyoming annual report?
Not automatically. LegalZoom's compliance plan says automatic annual report filing isn't available for LLCs in Indiana, Maryland and Wyoming. You can file Wyoming's report yourself or ask about LegalZoom's one-off filing at $99 plus the state fee. Our Starter plan files the annual report for you in every state that requires one.
Is LegalZoom cheaper than Register Quick LLC?
It depends on the package. Over two years, a Wyoming LLC comes to about $740 on LegalZoom Basic with its EIN service and registered agent (no operating agreement), $910 on Pro with the agent, and $861 on our Starter plan, including state fees. Starter also files the annual report and includes a US business address.
Does LegalZoom prepare Form 5472?
LegalZoom doesn't name Form 5472 among its services. Its compliance plan lists business taxes prepared by independent tax professionals without saying which returns. A foreign-owned single-member LLC generally files Form 5472 with a pro forma 1120 each year; our Pro plan includes both for $999 a year.
